Play Therapy Techniques

Play therapy is a form of counseling or psychotherapy that uses play to communicate and help people, especially children, prevent or resolve psychosocial challenges. Play is a child’s natural medium to learn, communicate, and explore their world. Play Therapy allows children to explore feelings, as well as make sense of and recover from difficult life experiences in a safe and trusting environment. It is a primarily non-verbal approach. In this training, participants will learn techniques to help a client develop positive self-concept, self-responsibility, self-acceptance, self-direction, and self-reliance.
